Placed in the heart of Levanto's Valley, at the bottom of its evergreen hills and near the Ligurian Sea, the Cooperativa Agricoltori Vallata di Levanto
produces its wines, the extravirgin olive oil and many other typical products of Ligurian "Riviera di Levante" tradition.
In 1995 its "Colline di Levanto" wines, several times awarded in the national "Mountain Wines Contest", obtained D.O.C. recognition: the white wine, called LIEVANTU,
has a delicate, lingering fragrance and a slightly bitter aftertaste, typical of the wines around eastern Liguria; the red one, called CANUET, is characterized by
a dry and delicately harmonious flavour.
Coop's production is limitated in terms of quantity but excellent in quality, which is the result of skilled growing methods and a modern wine-making technique,
putting its D.O.C.s among the most valuable wines of La Spezia province.
